I recently had fun building three VMAC-9 semi-auto firearms, which are versions of semi-auto Ingram MAC-11s in 9mm. I built two pistols and one carbine.

Given I was born in 1967, the Mac SMGs were a big part of pop culture. While I did own a MPA pistol years ago, it was one of their defenders with the angled grip so it didn’t look like the original so I got bored and sold it.

Recently, I’ve been seeing photos of 3D printed firearms using MAC uppers. I did some digging purely out of curiosity and ran into the Velocity Firearms weldable frame design and decided to give it a try.
